This past weekend marked a big day for Boon-Town and an even bigger couple of days for our very first campaign Grand Prize winner, Brad MacDonald! Brad and his girlfriend, Courtney Bonito, arrived in Toronto on Friday evening from Fort Erie, Ontario, settled into the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel and got ready for their big day out on Saturday.

In the morning the couple hit up some of the big draws in the city, grabbing a bite at Burger Priest and spending a good chunk of the afternoon at the Hockey Hall of Fame. The standard kind of stuff you might get up to when you come into the city. However, standard was far from what we had in mind for Brad and Courtney, and after they headed back to the hotel in the afternoon, we got to work on upping the ante and bringing the surprise to them!

As far as Brad and Courtney knew, the Boon-Town team was to meet them at their hotel and take them first for dinner before heading over the the Air Canada Centre and into a private suite for the game, where they would meet Leafs' legend and Brad's personal hero, Doug Gilmour. However, not wanting to settle for the expected, we decided to play things a little differently.

We booked a private table at Toronto's Real Sports Bar & Grill and arranged for Doug to be waiting there when we arrived to surprise Brad and Courtney and really drive home what they were in for that night! After dinner and a few pregame cocktails, the lucky pair joined us as we walked across to the ACC and inside. However, we didn't head to a suite, opting instead for some mind-blowing seats in the platinum section, to ensure that everyone got to really live the full St. Pats experience!

All said, everyone had a great night in true Boon-Town style! As always, coming from the fans, the people we really work for, this kind of message means the world to all of us here at Boon-Town.

Doug Gilmour would like to offer his sincere thanks to all his amazing fans who came together in support of the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research at Sunnybrook Hospital!

The Boon-Town team wants to offer a huge thanks to Doug and the Toronto Maple Leafs for helping us put together the best night possible, to Brad and Courtney for being the awesome people they are and to all the other fans out there who donated generously to our Courage campaign. You guys are the real champions, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Stay tuned for more awesome campaigns and content coming up!

Sincerely,

The Boon-Town Team
